Finding the right copyright free music was very difficult . Originally we wanted something from the 1940's time with that rustic sound but unfortunately we couldn't find it copyright free. We then decided that something simple and slow pace would be well suited. Our final non diagetic music was from the copyright free website free play music, it is called 'melancholy piano'. This piece is of a classical style and therefore appeals to our target audience. It also fits well with the scenes and dramatises and the right points in the film for example when the woman pulls out the photograph.
For the dialogue we just recorded the woman reading the letter then extracted the audio and added it to the clips. The voice is of a southern origin and fits with the location. The dialogue also gives anchorage to the viewer of what has been said in the letter, it adds drama to the actions on the screen.
