Again it was really important to ensure no objects from the present time were in view of the shots. One shot we had to cut as there were people in the conservatory in the background. We also had to make sure the pattern on the blanket was of an old style and that the book we used also was.

For the letter that the woman received we had to do research to ensure we used the right wording, we also had to age it to look like it was from the 1940's. Along with the letter the man handed over a letter holder with a old wedding photo with the men in uniform. These items were from World War II which were taken to war by a soldier. These helped to add anchorage to the wartime setting.

The clothing was also important to get right. The woman's clothing was a below the knee flowery dress, which was a common garment in the 1940's. The man's uniform was borrowed from the Army Cadets and is a 1940's uniform. This was an important costume to get right as it was anchorage for the plot line.
